Irish Business Owners & Employees – Will There Be a Return to The Office Post COVID-19?

How Will the Office Landscape Look Like After the Pandemic In Ireland?

While the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out continues in Ireland, how will the office landscape look like after the pandemic in Ireland?

Irish companies, business owners and employees have learned to adapt and continue business using a variety of online meeting and communications software for their teams to stay connected by video calls and file sharing abilities as employees work from home (WFH).

This has changed how business management teams view of people working remotely from home or in the near future from local office hubs, like our Deskspace office hub space in Naas, County Kildare, when people can gather again safely in a close environment.

Services like ours will become more mainstream, where businesspeople or company employees can hire a desk or meeting rooms for a few hours or for a few days at a time at a local desk sharing space close to their home location.

The advantages both to a company and their employees is twofold – for the business there is no need to rent or purchase high charging office space and the added benefits to employees not having to commute long distances each working day.

In a recent survey of 1,428 CIOs and IT leaders across 83 countries – 94 percent of respondents said they expect at least some of their workforce to WFH post-COVID-19.

Here in Ireland, the government have already began working on a national strategy regarding remote working, entitled Making Remote Work National Remote Work Strategy – you can view full official report here – https://bit.ly/3h5PiXR

The attraction of low-cost local desk sharing hubs will likely become a new standard for many Irish companies and their employees post Covid.

The how-we-work in Ireland has changed hopefully for the better for all businesses, employees, and their customers. Only time will tell over the next few months as Ireland bounces back from the effectives and benefits from the COVID vaccine roll-out.
